Free Fixer goes well with its name. This antivirus tool is a free option to remove a number of unwanted programs. These include spyware, adware, viruses, and other computer infection errors. However, don’t expect a huge array of additional tools and features. FreeFixer’s sole purpose is to remove viruses, so you won’t find permanent protection against future infections.
Here are the basics of FreeFixer:
FreeFixer allows you to schedule scans, although this schedule is limited to once a day. You must select this option during the installation process as you will not be able to implement it in any of the post-installation settings.
You will find that FreeFixer does not scan your entire filesystem. Instead, it only focuses on areas where potentially unwanted programs are usually installed. The software also includes the ability to delete files based on exact file paths and a system file checker that administrators can use to check protected files.
Please note that you cannot quarantine files with FreeFixer. If you want the option to be quarantined before being removed, you will need to pay for FreeFixer Pro. This does not mean that you cannot choose what you want to delete first. However, not all potential viruses found by FreeFixer are quarantined, soThey can continue to cause problems if you do not remove them (and viruses can actively interfere with scanning and deletion).
FreeFixer identifies files in a wide variety of categories. Here you can find out when something was whitelisted. However, many of them can be removed at will. As such, it is not the best option for anyone who needs a tool to make more informed decisions about what to delete.
To do this, go to the Add or Remove Programs list in the Windows Control Panel. If the unwanted program is present, select it and click the Remove button. After removing the adware, restart your computer even if you are not prompted to do so. Run a scan with the adware / PUP removal program. January 29, 2018

Took a snapshot (Rollback Rx) before downloading & testing.
-Easily made portable.
-## Disabled my Antivirus & closed all windows ##
-@Launch you have an option to D/load the manual. (Up to You)
-Checked what lies under all the Tabs
-Ran the Scan. Took about 5mins.
RESULT.....
Pros:
I like the fact ONE of the checks it runs is against
Newly Generated & Modified files. (Warns it may take a while).
I also like the way it presents the Scan 'Results'. Clearly,
Color Coded, & The full path.
Cons:
What I Don't like Is the fact there is NO huge Warning in RED
above the results. There is the 'bold' sentence in the top paragraph
which should be above the FIX button In a larger 'case' & in Red.
This is not the PRO version, It dosn't quarantine any of the files.
IF.. I had clicked 'Fix'. I would NOT have a working system.
Use at your OWN discretion. Even Advanced users should treble check..!!
If you've GOT to have a play, Have a 'BEFORE' Disk image handy. I don't
think system restore would be good enough. (I certainly wouldn't rely on it).
This app will not be part of my ToolBox. Even for Analysis.
Docked a star for NO 'In your Face' Warning.!! Good but dangerous. 4*
Seems to be pretty good at what it needs to do. I'm not going to mark it down because of the damage it could do in inexperienced hands. In my mind if an idiot screws up their PC using this, it's their fault - not the program's. Tools like this don't belong in the hands of idiots - and certainly shouldn't be marked down if they screwed up.
To my mind, though, a tool like this needs to be available in a portable form. You'd only ever use it when the system is probably infected - and in that condition it will be impossible to install this.
As an I.T. person, I don't recommend this tool. The results are ambiguous at best. Results that it recommends to be removed shouldn't be and many of them are not commented on as to why.
Very destructive to a system if you know not what you are doing.
HIGHLY recommend either creating a system restore or other form of system back up prior to using this tool.
I do see hope for something like this. Recovery options for this tool are high recommended.
Can totally bugger your PC up & not for new users so take care & ideally have an image of C: as you always should have & often.
Agree with CyberDoc999 needs to be used with care & only if you know what you are doing ~
power users only
I hate to open a new installed program, just to see an error message, because then I know that somebody out there hasn't done their programming properly. To this program I can only say that it sucks, and I'm glad I got rid of this so back to CrapCleaner, at least it don't mess your computer up.
This is not a program for beginner user, must know what you are doing!
I like it... has very small issues, but overall pretty good!
Just tried it and like it. The more users the better as the online database will mature greatly over time.
This is a great resource for users wishing to keep their computers clean of malware, and, since it is now listed on pages like fileforum and majorgeeks, the number of users will increase, which is helpful with this type of application.
The reason that user numbers is useful is because the application makes recommendations on the basis of what it's users have found. Even so, the recommendations is not as important as other aspects of the application.
This application will help you make your computer safe from malware when used along with a good anti-virus application and something like malwarebytes anti-malware.
I do highly recommend this application.
